Double Vision

I was half awake and having my breakfast one day last week when my mom told me there was a ladybird on the house’s glass door. So I grabbed my camera, went out and these were the results.

This was the same trick as the one I used with the reflections in the DIY Lightbox I tried before. I don’t know the physics behind it but the trick is to go as near and as parallel as possible to the glass surface. The result is a clear reflection of the subject.

Shooting macro at home is indeed a very different experience. At least the background is not a boring grassy green and there are other species of insects to shoot.

  1. Noooooooooo…! Come back Nic!

On a more serious note though, I’m thinking of moving onto something else for the moment too. Macro shots of insects aren’t the best photos to attract girls πŸ˜›

  2. No lah, Steph. It’s just that I keep getting girls telling me the insects or spiders look scary or disgusting or gross πŸ˜›

The grasshoppers though are called cute. lol πŸ˜€
