Langkawi (22 – 25 May 2008): The Beach
During the 4 days 3 nights trip, we stayed at the Langkasuka Resort, the very same we stayed at when we came to Langkawi about 2 years back. The rooms are very spacious. We could cram 9 people into a room meant for 4. There’s a swimming pool where the lads spent most of their evenings while I spent most of mine at the beach searching for the perfect shot.
The beach used to be rather fecked up the last time I came, with stones and sharp objects everywhere. This time around, they managed to clean the place up and it’s a lot better. The annoying thing is that there’s a wave barrier surrounding the beach. So, the waves are rather pussified and weak not to mention the barrier spoiling the view over the horizon.
I kinda screwed up this shot badly. Didn’t have a flash or anything to use as a filler (the camera’s built-in flash was just too harsh). The resulting photo was an underexposed bottle with a properly exposed sky. I had to do a bit of post-processing and editing to try and strike a balance between exposing the bottle well and not blowing up the sky.
Langkasuka Resort is a great place to stay if you’re on a budget trip to Langkawi. The location is somewhat strategic, near to the airport and Pantai Cenang.
